“Rest in Reason; Move in Passion” Khalil Gibran
Creating substance in music is as much a talent as creating music itself. And with the ability to do both, you are only limited by your opportunities.
As a musician and vocalist Ashley Macedo has an innate ability to capture the spirited emotion of soul music. With a smoky timbre and powerful range Ashley has a connection with soul which is conveyed through her unbridled emotion and unquestionable conviction.
After moving to London to study Performing Arts at the world famous Pineapple Dance Studios, Ashley has since focussed her songwriting and recording here in Sydney. Writing alongside Jhay C (MUSICOZ Award “Best R&B” song 2 years running) from The Innovataz’s, Ashley Macedo has used her experiences to hone her craft to become a figurehead for Soul music in a commercial market.
Ashley performs regularly in Sydney, around Australia and overseas. Having performed at Galleries (NSW Art Gallery), Boutique Resorts (Karma Samui, Thailand), Private Functions and Onstage Live Productions, Ashley continues to push herself through live performance and to form professional working relationships with some of the world’s finest boutique venues.
For the immediate future Ashley is continuing her focus on songwriting and recording sessions while increasing her contacts with songwriting partners, likeminded performers, and taking a journey to find Avant-garde producers with a similar passion for soul.

By day, Aden Mullens is the head of A&R and Compilations for Australia’s most successful dance label, Ministry of Sound. By night he DJs amongst the countries elite under the moniker, Johnny Rad.
Throughout his DJ career Johnny Rad has had the honour to play in Sydney either side of Paul Harris, Mark Knight, Booka Shade, Digitalism, Alan Braxe & Kris Menace, King Unique, Steve Mac, Claude VonStroke, Tiga, Audiofly, M.A.N.D.Y. Bang Gang to name but a few and has contributed to the Sydney nightlife being a resident for such historic club parties as KINK, Sounds On Sunday, Rouge Rock’R, Safari, Electric Disco and more recently for his own party, Clique.
As time gets tight and work becomes more intense, Aden spends most of his waking hours working on compilations for Ministry of Sound, signing and developing new artists and travelling through the northern hemisphere meeting new and exciting producers and labels. The relationships and opportunities that have developed from his role with Ministry of Sound have built Johnny Rad into a well-rounded DJ focused on delivering great experiences for crowds with an abundant amount of repertoire at his fingertips.
Amongst all this Rad still finds the time to dominate local surf comps, take snowboarding holidays to Alaska, enjoy time on his luxury powerboat and play kooky dress-ups with friends at the Pink Palace.
